There’s something special about this season and slow Saturday mornings at the farmers market just feel right. The colors, crisp air, the calm pace are gentle reminders that food doesn’t have to be complicated to be nourishing.
Eating what’s in season is such an easy way to get variety, rich flavor, and the nutrients our bodies naturally need as the weather cools. It’s not about rules – it’s about small, mindful choices that make you feel good
Here’s what I’m loving right now:
– Radishes: support digestion + add a crisp, refreshing crunch to meals
– Beets: great for circulation + natural energy support
– Carrots: fiber for gut health + beta-carotene for your eyes
– Squash: hydrating + versatile for roasting, grilling, or sautéing
– Dark leafy greens: vitamins + minerals + antioxidants for overall health
– Cranberries: vitamin C for immunity + support urinary tract health
– Tomatoes: heart-healthy + packed with lycopene for glowing skin
– Blueberries: loaded with antioxidants that help fight inflammation
Other veggies & fruits in season now:
– Veggies: Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Swiss chard, beets, sweet potatoes, squash, pumpkin, leeks & mushrooms
– Fruits: Apples, persimmons, cranberries, pomegranates & grapes
Seasonal, colorful, and easy to work into any meal – that’s the kind of Ygeia I love!
